From 19th - 23rd July 2006 the 19th traditional summer S.K.I.F. karate-do seminar took place in Izola, Slovenia. It was one of the hottest, if not "sauna-hot" seminars to date. However, something was making the air even hotter, the Slovenian A team is in passionate preparations for the World Championship 2006, which will take place in November in Tokyo.

For the four-day seminar, Karate teachers "Sensei" Ivan Ceric 6.Dan Kyoshi from Slovenia and "Sensei" Biagio Ridolfo 6.Dan from Holland gathered karatekas from Hungary, Netherlands, Belgium and Slovenia. A traditional fish picnic on a boat and karate kyu exams were carried out successfully. At the end of the seminar, on Saturday 22nd July, the karatekas from these countries also competed in a small tournament.
